HAIR unfurls at Actors Cabaret!
Yes, it’s time to polish those love beads, be at the “be-in” and hail and hearken to a “curly, fuzzy, snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty, shining, gleaming, steaming, flaxen waxen, knotted, twisted, beaded, braided, powdered, flowered, bangled, tangled, spangled” phenomenon called, HAIR.HAIR mirrors the thoughts and feelings of a generation in turmoil over the Vietnam war and asks audiences to take a “trip” back to the days of beads-flowers-freedom and happiness while encouraging you to “drop out” and come to the “be in.” While HAIR is a celebration of flower children and hippies it also has a powerful political message which is still relevant today, But it is the enduring power of the music that sets HAIR apart with a score that reads like an all time top 10 hit singles chart. The American tribal love-rock musical will bring back those good-vibes through its large roster of familiar songs including, “Aquarius”, “Donna”, “Sodomy”, “Manchester, England”, “I Got Life”, “Frank Mills”, “Where Do I Go?”, “Black Boys/White Boys”, “Easy To Be Hard”, “Walking in Space”, “Good Morning Starshine”, and “Let The Sunshine In”.
